Safety
Three-point seat belts are standard in all seating positions, while front dual-stage airbags and the front seat belts with pretensioners are standard throughout the range.
Powerr & Performance
The new 2.4 litre 16-valve DOCH four-cylinder MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing and lift Electronic Control) engine, develops 125kW and 226Nm of torque, but is lighter than previously. If you want fuel economy with good performance, this is for you.
On-demand all wheel drive
The all-new outlander is an electronically controlled, on-demand all wheel drive system coupled with a CVT (continuously variable transmission). INVECS III and 6-speed "Sport Mode' tiptronic-style sequential shifting function on four-cylinder models gives the driver the option of changing gears manually.
Equipment
Standard equipment on the Outlander is impressive, from power steering, all-round power windows and air conditioning (with ducting to the rear compartment) to cruise control, steering wheel mounted audio contols and integrated fascia with AM/FM audio wity CD, MP3 and WMA on all models.
Flexibility
All-new Outlander is longer, wider and higher than the previous model, and new design features such as a split tailgate and innovative on-touch automatic fold rear seats provide an amazingly flexible range of cargo carrying options.
