Safety
To provide essential protection for your family in the event of a collision, Challenger is fitted with driver and front passenger, side and curtain SRS airbags. The side airbags inflate from the side of the seat to protect the torso while curtain airbags activate from the roof to protect the head. The front seatbelt systems also include pretentioners and force limiters that combine to minimise the potential for serious injury in the event of a collision.
Power & Performance
Under the bonnet, you'll find a fuel-efficient, 2.5L intercooled turbocharged Diesel Engine with the very latest in Mitsubishi's Common Rail Direct Fuel injection system. And thanks to Mitsubishi's Super Select 4WD system, you can cross from city streets to the great outdoors with the flick of a lever.
On-Demand All Wheel Drive
The all-new outlander is an electronically controlled, on-demand all wheel drive system coupled with a CVT (continuously variable transmission). INVECS III and 6-speed "Sport Mode' tiptronic-style sequential shifting function on four-cylinder models gives the driver the option of changing gears manually.
Equipment
We don't believe that you should have to fork out extra for air-conditioning, cruise control, steering wheel mounted audio contols and integrated fascia with AM/FM audio with CD, MP3 and WMA, tinted side and rear windows, speed-sensing variable wipers, ABS or body-coloured bumpers. In this day and age, they're what you should and can expect.
Flexibility
Clever storage areas throughout the cabin ensure there's plenty of room for everything an active family could need. A handy, underfloor compartment in the seven seat option also provides extra storage when you really need it.
